October Gatherings

Tuesday, 01 October 2013 19:16  by Katie C.

After the long dog days of summer, the cooler fall weather is often a welcome change! Many people look forward to getting out their cozy sweaters, boots and jackets, because they imply pumpkins, hayrides, bonfires, falling leaves, football games and autumn parties.

Hosting impromptu autumn get-togethers can be even more fun than attending them, because it gives us the opportunity to plan a day full of our favorite fall events with friends or loved ones. Party planning can be a source of anxiety for many, but it doesn’t have to be.

Rather than decide not to host an event, try this quick, stress free dip. A get-together can be simple and casual, and revolve around good company rather than elaborate food-styling. This easy pumpkin dip is great to have on hand for a football get-together, bonfire, pumpkin carving party or quick autumn snack. It can’t help but boost your mood!

Fall Dip

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz. whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
  • 3 small boxes vanilla instant pudding mix (dry mix only, don’t make the pudding)
  • 1 (15 oz.) can of pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling
  • Pumpkin spice, to taste

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients together and add pumpkin spice mix to taste. Serve with graham crackers, apple slices and vanilla wafers. Enjoy!
