Dr. Lynn Swisher visited Brookhaven Retreat July 19 – August 2. This extended, five-day visit allowed Dr. Swisher to provide additional administrative support to Brookhaven Retreat’s clinical team.
Dr. Swisher is a member of Brookhaven Retreat’s professional consulting team. She attends each of Brookhaven Retreat’s monthly performance improvement meetings and oversees all of the performance improvement committees. These committees create monthly self-monitoring reports for their department, which Dr. Swisher reviews in order to make system improvements. These procedures are part of Joint Commission compliance standards.
Dr. Swisher is also overseeing procedures created by the life safety committee to train all new staff in Brookhaven Retreat’s emergency code system. With flu season soon arriving, Dr. Swisher is also working with Brookhaven Retreat’s team of nurses to establish a flu vaccination program for 2013.
Brookhaven Retreat is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to women suffering from substance abuse and mental health issues. In order to offer the safest environment for their recovery, it works diligently to not only comply with but also exceed every standard of care. Monthly evaluations and self-monitoring are critical in this process, and Brookhaven Retreat is delighted to have Dr. Swisher’s help in maintaining the highest standards of care.
