Comprehensive Policy and Procedure Review

On February 20, staff members from Brookhaven Retreat joined consultants Scott Migdole from Yale University, Dr. Jennifer Payne from Johns Hopkins and its founder Jacqueline Dawes for a day focused on policy development and review.

Staff members from all Brookhaven Retreat departments attended the Clinical Policy Review Retreat at Blackberry Farm. Throughout the day, Brookhaven staff had the opportunity to discuss current policies while considering them in the context of safety, independence and personal growth.

The daylong retreat allowed for rich discussion and an enormously productive day while also highlighting the unique nature of Brookhaven Retreat and its exclusive focus on women and their recovery. Staff members had the opportunity to discuss current policies and procedures and weigh in on their evolution. Such thorough overview of policy ensures that Brookhaven Retreat delivers the very best in care and safety to its clients.

The evolutionary process of policy making is part of what defines Brookhaven Retreat as a place of excellence. The meeting solidified Brookhaven Retreat’s unique place in offering help and recovery to women for years to come.
