Dr. Lynn Swisher made her way to Brookhaven Retreat November 18-19. This two-day visit allowed the opportunity to meet with all departments and thoroughly assess Brookhaven Retreat’s performance improvement standards.
As a member of Brookhaven Retreat’s professional consulting team, Dr. Swisher is board certified by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians and makes monthly visits to Brookhaven Retreat’s residential facility. During these welcomed visits she attends each of Brookhaven Retreat’s performance improvement (PI) meetings and supervises all of the PI committees.
As part of her two-day visit, Dr. Swisher met with the clinical team including nursing staff, therapists and the psychiatrists to discuss and review the medical view of client care. She met with the Education Committee to discuss further training opportunities and the Life Safety Committee, ensuring Brookhaven Retreat provides the safest environment for both staff and clients alike.
In compliance with the Joint Commission standards, Dr. Swisher reviews the committee reports to make any necessary adjustments and improvements. Compliance with these standards is part of Brookhaven Retreat’s continuing efforts to deliver the best in residential treatment for women with mental health or substance abuse issues.
