After losing her daughter to an ecstasy use and then losing her husband a year later, she struggled to get back on her feet emotionally. Through her own determination, she followed her passion to help other families prevent the same sort of loss she experienced. After relocating to East Tennessee, her development background and skills enabled her to redevelop an old smokehouse on a family farm into a 16,000 square foot state-of-the-art treatment facility. Hiring the best clinical staff and sparing no expense or attention to detail, Jacqueline is living her dream - helping women reclaim their lives and take control of their bodies and spirits.</p><div><div class="K2FeedFullText"><div>

She attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She has served as the Director of Admissions for a large private psychiatric facility as well as a Network Territory Manager  for a large behavorial health group. She is a former State of Tennessee Human Rights Commissioner and has served on several boards and initiatives in the community.</p><div><div class="K2FeedFullText"><div>

She has numerous years working closely with Clinical and Administrative Directors, Psychotherapists, Intake and Admissions Coordinators and Discharge Coordinators.</p><div><div class="K2FeedFullText"><div>

She has worked in the field of mental health and substance abuse for over 13 years. Marta has worked in a variety of settings within the field, including residential therapist, outpatient therapist, case manager, assessment leader in a detoxification unit, and facilitated interventions. She has completed the MARI Level II training and is working towards being a MARI practitioner, participated in DBT training, CBT training, and is a Certified Ropes Course Facilitator. Marta has been with Brookhaven Retreat for 3 years.</p><div><div class="K2FeedFullText"><div>

She received her undergraduate education at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she completed pre-medicine coursework and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout college and was the top graduating senior in her class in 1996.</p> <p>She attended medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, and at the completion of her senior year of medical school was honored with the Award for Excellence in Pediatrics and the Award for Excellence in Psychiatry. After graduating from medical school in 2001, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina to begin residency training in General Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She completed her residency in 2005 and subsequently engaged in a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry, also at MUSC.</p> <p>At the conclusion of her fellowship in 2006, she became an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the MUSC Institute of Psychiatry. She received her bachelor's degree at the University of Mississippi in Dietetics. While at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Teran completed a dietetic internship and obtained her master's degree in Nutrition Science with an emphasis in Exercise Science. She has been providing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy for clients of all ages in the area of weight management, substance abuse, depression and other mental health issues. She has also worked extensively with clients who have diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, renal disease, and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. In 1998, Teran was honored as the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year from the Tennessee Dietetic Association (TDA) and Knoxville District Dietetic Association (KDDA). Throughout her career, she has held various leadership positions for KDDA. Teran holds memberships in the Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN), Behavioral Health Nutrition (BHN), Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine (DIFM) and Weight Management (WM), practice groups of the ADA.<div><div class="K2FeedFullText"><div>

She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Tennessee and has worked in the field of mental health for over 9 years. She has worked as a psychotherapist and discharge coordinator in a variety of therapeutic settings including but not limited to Inpatient, Residential, In Home, Outpatient, and Schools. Amy has worked primarily with dual diagnosed clients treating both adolescents and adults. She has worked as a primary therapist with Brookhaven in addition to current role as aftercare and alumni coordinator.</p><div><div class="K2FeedFullText"><div>
